Michael Benabib
Before he photographed the boardroom, he photographed the celebrities of the era — David Bowie, Tupac Shakur, Keith Richards, President Bill Clinton — editorials that ran in Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, GQ, and The New York Times, and now hang in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and MoMA. His 2026 solo exhibition in Tokyo — a retrospective of musician portraits and celebrity magazine work spanning three decades — brought that legacy into full view.
That training of connecting with his subjects, finding the authentic moment, working without disruption — turned out to be exactly what corporate portraiture demands. Michael made a natural progression into shooting corporate and branding work.
Over 30 years later, he has photographed heads of state, Fortune 500 CEOs, federal attorneys, and physicians — in studio and on-location, lending a sensitive eye to the craft. The result is never a headshot. It's a portrait that tells the truth.
